This notice is published pursuant to the direction of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), passed in the matter of application moved by GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Limited, for withholding of dividend of shareholders who have not provided their valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Limited (the “Company”) has moved an application before SECP under Section 251(2) of repealed Companies Ordinance, 1984 read with Section 243(2) (e ) & (3) of the Companies Act, 2017 for allowing it to withhold the dividend declared on 10th November 2017 payable to those shareholders who did not provide their CNIC to the Company, to enable it to comply with directions issued by the Commission vide SRO 275(1)/2016 dated March 31, 2016, in continuation to its Notification No. SRO 19(1)2014 dated January 10, 2014. A list of such shareholders (including Name and Folio No) is available. Please click here to view the list.
Through this notice the Company is giving a final opportunity to all such shareholders to:
- Either provide a copy of their valid CNIC to the Company within 14 days, in which case the Company shall issue the dividend warrant; or
- Make a representation in respect of this application before SECP at the following address within 14 days of the date of this notice

Please note that in case of failure to provide valid CNIC or failing to make any representation in writing, in person or through your representative before the Executive Director (Corporate Supervision Department) within the aforesaid time period, the SECP shall decide the application as per law which may result in withholding of your dividend.
